2.  Orphan First Kill – Top Best Horror Movies In The World

Orphan First Kill is a horror slasher film that hit the big screens in 2022. Directed by William Brent Bell, this film is a prequel to the 2009 film “Orphan”. The movie revolves around the central character Lena Klammer, who appears to be a sweet and innocent 9-year-old girl but is actually a 31-year-old psychopath suffering from a rare biological condition that allows her to retain the appearance of a child.

The story begins with Lena’s escape from a psychiatric hospital and her journey to America, where she poses as a long-lost child named Esther. With ease, she infiltrates Esther’s wealthy family and begins to carry out her sinister plans. However, as people start to question her strange actions, the situation turns against her and she finds herself pitted against Esther’s mother who realizes her true identity and will stop at nothing to protect her family.

While the first film, “Orphan”, was scarier and more focused on terror, the sequel falls short in comparison. Despite its faults, the biggest highlight of the movie is the revelation in the middle that serves as its strongest element.
