Conspiracy theorist Alex Jones said Wednesday he now understands it's irresponsible to say the Sandy Hook school is playing a hoax, and now believes it's "100% real."

He is speaking in his own defamation lawsuit, a day after the parents of a six-year-old boy killed in the 2012 attack testified to grief, death threats and harassment.

"It's…especially since I met my parents." It's 100% true,” Jones said during the trial that will determine how much he owes for defaming the parents of Jesse Lewis.

Lewis' parents said on Tuesday that an apology was not enough & that Infowars host was held accountable for repeatedly spreading lies about the attack. They demand $150 million.

Closing arguments are expected to begin Wednesday after further testimony from Jones, who described the lawsuit as an attack on his First Amendment rights.

He was the only person to testify in his defense and his media company, Free Speech Systems.

Jones' attorney asked him if he now understood it as "completely irresponsible" to make the false claim that the massacre did not happen and that no one died.

He also complains about being "classified as someone who talks about Sandy Hook, makes money from Sandy Hook, is obsessed with Sandy Hook".

On Tuesday, Neil Heslin and Scarlett Lewis testified that Jones and the fake hoax allegations he posted on his Infowars website had made their lives a "hell on earth".

The judge punished Jones for taking an oath of dishonesty when he told the jury that he had complied with the pre-trial evidence collection and went bankrupt.

Plaintiffs' attorneys were furious when Jones mentioned bankruptcy, which they argued would challenge the jury's decision on damages.

The Sandy Hook family sued Jones separately over his financial claims, alleging that the company was trying to protect millions of people belonging to Jones and his family.
