Samuel Granther scored his two goals for the first time during his two-year tenure in MLS and on Saturday night he led his  LA Galaxy to Vancouver in his 5-2 victory over Whitecaps

Javier "Chicharito" Hernández scored his  10th goal of the season from his spot on penalty, turning it into the lead for the Galaxy.

Victor Vázquez pushed the Galaxy (10-11-3, 33 points)  to his 6th place in Western Conference rankings, adding his first goal in almost a calendar year in his 10 games remaining. 

 Efrain Alvarez added a late insurance goal for  Los Angeles, who have scored multiple goals in seven of their last nine games. 

Vancouver's Ryan Gold scored his fourth goal of the season for the visitors late in the first half, ending a four-game unbeaten run away.

The Tosaint Ricketts set a second-half tally for Vancouver (8-11-6, 30 points) and are currently 11th in the West competing for seven playoff spots.

Whitecaps' Cristián d'Ajomé was sent off late in 2nd half after receiving his 2nd yellow card within 7-minutes after conceding 3 or more goals, his 9th of the season, rice field.

Granter was the first of several defensive errors for Vancouver to give Los Angeles the lead after just 12 minutes.

Julian Araujo picked up  the first of  two assists when he played the ball on the right flank, skipping over a Vancouver player to Kevin Cabral.

Grandsir unleashed a solid finish over goal with his first touch to beat Cody Cropper from close range.

Six minutes later, it was Grancer who contributed to the penalty shootout when  a handball from Whitecaps defender Ranko Veselinovic led to his play. 

Chicharito 2-0 with a cold tackle in middle. Vázquez scored a long shot in 30th minute to make it 3–0, & a gold response in 38th minute, Grancil scored 2 goals 2 minutes later.
