Texas A&M men's golfers Sam Bennett and Vishnu Sadagopan will compete on the National Tour on Monday.

Amateur matches at  Ridgewood Country Club and Arcola Country Club.

Men's Golf: Pair of Aggies Set to Compete at U.S. Amateur

 The tournament featured two rounds of stroke play before the field was reduced from his 312  to his 64, with participants competing in match play, with the winner  crowned on Sunday. 

Bennett will start play  on his 10th hole  at Arcola at 7:13am and will start the second round on Tuesday at 1:48pm. 

Hall 1 at Ridgewood. Sadagopan will start at 12:07pm on his 9th hole  at Ridgewood. Arcola will tee off the second round at 6:52 from Hall 1.

A native of Madisonville, Texas, Bennett was exempt from participating in the tournament because he was ranked in the top 50 of his ranking in  World Amateur Golf.

Bennett is enjoying one of the best seasons in program history, with seven top 10 finishes in  one win while appearing in multiple professional tournaments.

That summer, he finished 49th at the U.S. Open, his second-highest finish in the amateurs,

And Arnold won Palmer's Cup by playing for team his USA in his four-man squad. He was  just one of us. 

 Sadagopan qualified after he placed second in the Houston qualifier for Champions Golf Club. Sadagopan scored a 6-under 136 and was bogey-free on 36 holes.

The Purland, Texas, native played in three tournaments last season and finished 13th in the Washington County individual at 4-under.
